What is the YORKSHIRE & HUMBER AI SUMMIT?
The Yorkshire and Humber AI Summit is an invitation-only event, designed to delve into innovative uses of AI in business and education. It features keynotes, panels with industry leaders, interactive workshops, and showcases from leading academic and professional experts.
Talk from Responsible AI Research Group
Dr Rameez Kureshi discussed the collaborative mechanisms between the University of Hull and various businesses, highlighting successful past projects that have leveraged AI technologies.
Dr Koorosh Aslansefat explored the topic of Responsible AI, outlining how AI solutions in their research group such as SafeML, SafeLLM and SMILE can be designed to avoid AI issues. He addressed Responsible AI topics and challenges such as explainability, bias, reward hacking, and overall AI safety, ensuring they are beneficial and ethical.
Mrs Faezeh Abedi has also provided a demo of a trustworthy and responsible Large Language Model-based software to assist lawyers in reading and summarising Law documents.
